Cockatiels are very popular household pets today for so many reasons. These gregarious parrots are renowned for their friendly dispositions and gentile personalities. Unlike other parrots that are only a few generations removed from the wild, Cockatiels have been kept in captivity for hundreds of years and thus been given time to become somewhat domesticated. Because of this, most cockatiels enjoy human interaction and are playful creatures in general.
